Watsapp is without doubt the most popular messaging app in the world.There are several features which are being introduced each passing day.Such of these features include hiding of status from people, 2 step verification, hiding of profile pictures and many more.
However, there are few things that are missing, such as the ability to hide profile pictures from some selected contacts. Having said that, if you desire to hide your profile picture from some specific contacts without blocking them then this article will of great help to you.
This article uses two main methods, deleting contacts from your phone and changing watsapp privacy setting.
Requirement
Download and install latest version of Watsapp on your phone.
Method 1: Deleting contacts from your phone.
- Open contacts on your phone.
- Search for contact(s) you want to hide profile picture from.
- Delete the contact(s).
Method 2: Change Watsapp Privacy Setting.
- Open Watsapp on your phone.
- From the far right corner tap on the 3 dots.
- Select Setting.
- Go to Account.
- Now, Privacy Setting.
- Tap on Profile photo and select the option My Contacts.
Repeat the steps from part 1 and part 2 to hide your profile picture for other contacts.
Note: If you do not want to delete any contact from your phone and just want to hide your profile picture then, you will have to change your profile picture privacy settings to ‘Nobody’. But this will hide your profile picture for all your WhatsApp contacts.
