In the last few years, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a giant trend within the technology industry. Be it Apple, Google or Microsoft, AI has slowly crept into varied products/services of just about each massive technology company. Google, as an example, has already started implementing this technology into its smartphones’ software system, camera and apps to reinforce the general functionality of the device.
Recently, the corporate declared a brand new feature for its email shopper Gmail referred to as ‘Smart Compose’ that enhances the typing experience of the users by predicting the word or even the entire sentence. Gmail’s web version already has this feature and currently the company has started rolling out the update for the android version of the app.
So, to activate this feature, users have to be compelled to open the Gmail app on their smartphone and hit the ‘+’icon from the lowest right corner of the screen. The app can now show the smart Compose popup, dismiss it and begin typing. alternatively, users also can activate or deactivate this feature by going into the settings option of the Gmail App.
- Open Gmail app and tap on the 3 horizontal bars from the top left corner .
- Head to the ‘Settings’ option and select the e-mail account.
- underneath General settings, look for the option ‘Smart Compose.’
- Hit the toggle in front of the option to turn it off or on
